Inabyte Announces Microsoft .NET Initiative; Introduces Several New Products
NOVATO, CA, July 1, 2002 - Inabyte Inc., a developer of components and applications for the Windows® architecture, today announced the release of a new generation of components for the Microsoft® .NET® framework. In this first phase of its .NET development initiative, Inabyte has released new versions of four of its popular components as Interops (dual mode): the InaAuthenticate control for validating users and groups within a domain, the InaCardCheck credit card validation tool, InaEmailCheck for confirming email addresses, and InaClockCtrl, a component that automatically retrieves Atomic Time and makes it available in UTC or local time. In addition, the company has released a new 100% managed-code version of its InaCalc component for expression parsing and dependent formula recalculation.
"Inabyte components for .NET will deliver great value to our developer customers and allow them to move forward quickly into the next generation of Web services," said Mark Hennessy, President of Inabyte. "We have found that there is high demand for dual mode versions of our components, so we are delighted to be rolling out new versions of our most popular e-business products. We are also very happy to announce our first 100% managed code product: InaCalc."
Inabyte also announced the release of InaGrid 3.0, an upgraded version of its unbound/virtual 32-bit ActiveX grid control for use with VB, VC++ or any language that supports OCX's. InaGrid 3.0 includes numerous new features and functions, including variable row height adjustment, tool tips, adjustable cell borders and a new data helper tool.
"As a member of our .NET ComponentBuilder program, Inabyte has been committed to .NET since very early on," commented Sam Patterson, CEO of ComponentSource. "Their new product line of dual mode components that work with both the COM and .NET environments will further help developers transitioning to the Microsoft .NET platform."
